3.1 Phillip Lim Nude Dot Dress with Bralette Detailing

3.1 Phillip Lim’s Resort collection has just arrived and with it arrived one of our favorite dresses of the year: his buff dot bralette dress.  It is actually two dresses in one – very sophisticated with a little French style referencing as well!  The trapeze silk top has beautiful paillette dots and is completely detachable from the rest of the dress.  Once removed the dress reveals to a more daring version of itself: black lace bra top which is open in the back except for the bra strap.  Paired with a cute black cardi or black blazer this is a great dress for an evening out – I plan to wear it with black tights to work with a cardigan.  With the attacheable top,  I will be wearing it to one of my upcoming holiday parties! I love the color choice of Phillip Lim, the nude/buff color: it is very sophisticated, modern, and not in your face.  This is a great foreshadowing to all of the nudes that have been shown for Spring 2010 and this dress certainly can be worn through spring. In fact, all of the dresses we received from Lim’s resort collection feature exposed bralette detailing which is such a fun evolution for his collection! All of the dresses are very wearable from an amazing black sweater dress to a watercolor printed cocktail dress and cotton resort black polka dot dress – they are currently all featured in our window – more blogging to come about this collection as it is so amazing – I can’t say enough about Phillip Lim’s design genius!
