Rag & Bone’s new lipstick legging jean is just the perfect addition to any Fall/Winter denim wardrobe. It is the perfect pop of color to add to an all black sweater and boot combo.  I know that I am always looking for new ways to bring color in in the middle of the winter season and most of the times I just get so bored with the “add a pop of color with a sweater” combo. I love wearing blacks, greys, navys, and ivorys in the winter and this jean is so perfect to pair with the most basic of ensembles and the result is so much more interesting and flattering.  Tuck these legging jeans into boots, pair with booties, or a ballet flat and voila! instant update to any everyday go-to ensemble.

Today we received COMMANDO’s newest must-have product: tights!  They of course are super comfortable and lack that circulation-strangling effect that most tights have. These sit comfortably along the waist in COMMANDO’s signature fabric. It might be 90 degrees out today, but that certainly hasn’t detracted anyone from Fall 2010 wardrobe planning.  This time of year is always the go-to time for coat shopping. All the designers ship out their best outerwear in August and early September, which means now is the time to re-evaluate what coats won’t make the cut from ‘08 or ‘09 to this year in your closet. Rarely do we receive black long coats in the store because typically they look too somber and overwhelming; however, Helmut Lang’s new Fall 2010 coat has a great modern cut and edge to it that it has captivated us and now we can’t wait to wear it. The shape is very easy to wear – it is shorter in the back and angles down in the front – sold with the distressed leather belt and knit collar/sleeves, this coat is so easy to move in and looks fantastic open and closed. It is never too early to fall in love with outerwear, especially when it looks like this.

Converting for Fall 2010: Loeffler Randall-Style

As if we weren’t excited enough about the fastly approaching boot season, Loeffler Randall has completely pushed us over the edge with their tough-chic conversion boot (above).  It fills the void of that go-to super comfortable black boot that has a bit of a heel that can be worn with jeans, dresses, skirts – you name it. AND if you aren’t quite in the mood for  a knee high boot, simply unzip the ankle zipper, remove the leg shaft, and voila! Ankle bootie!! This boot is pure genius – notice the silver metal tipped toe – these boots are no nonsense, versatile, and won’t stand for sitting in anyone’s closet. These boots are made to be worn, loved, and won’t take no for an answer.

In a knit, mesh, suede combo, this dress is great paired during the day as shown at right with boots, a belt, or even a fabulous scarf. Translating it for evening is so easy – this dress has open mesh and suede detail at the shoulders as well as a  mesh detailed back, which alone paired with a fabulous caged black shoe (such as these amazing Camilla Skovgaard shoes: click here) or even a sleek classic black pump is super sexy.
